Eclipse Create iSpec 2200 AMM/SDS provides an Adobe FrameMaker authoring environment for Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) and System Description Sections (SDS). The plug-in is currently specifically designed to create iSpec2200 compliant SGML according the latest DTD, but uses the Adobe FrameMaker user friendly WYSIWYG authoring environment for authoring. The plug-in is currently designed for SGML output only.
The interface is designed to filter information to allow the author to focus on a specific section within the AMM, as generally an Aircraft Maintenance Manuals are written by a wide variety of contractors and assembled by the Aircraft Manufacturer.
